• As this internship comes to a close, I’ve started considering what I will write my reflection paper on. My experience working with WPCredits has been awesome and I really do love learning and participating in new things. As a full-time student, and a full-time mommy, I didn’t know how this internship was going to go over. I can safely say that I’m glad I participated in it and I didn’t doubt myself, and I’m walking away from this experience with a new skills and some new people in my life as well.

The event I chose to attend was online. I chose to do an event at 2:30am because due to the new edition in my life, I’m already up at that hour doing mommy duties! The event was small of course, but I enjoyed it. What I liked most was the ability to connect and ask questions. I feel as though a real take away from the event was that if I were to ever use WordPress in a career setting to just be aware that optimization can get misdirected if not, careful.

I hope to stay connected to the WordPress community after this internship I Love how easy it is to get a hold of someone. The use of Slack is also so helpful! I’m blessed to say I made it this far.

  • During my time at CNM, I had the opportunity to take a few web programming courses that introduced me to WordPress. I admire how user-friendly it is, as well as the accessibility. I’ve drafted a website of my own since coming in contact with WordPress, and I plan on using it on my profiling when applying to jobs once this semester is over!

Having the opportunity to be chosen for this internship is amazing. It’s taught me a lot, and I’ve even had the privilege of connecting with new people through Slack!

I plan to use what I’ve learned throughout this internship in the future when it comes to getting into my career-field and also continuing my education to get my bachelors degree.

  • For my WordPress contribution project, I’ve chosen photos! I thought it would be a nice, fun project to look into and it’s also something I enjoy doing. Throughout my experience utilizing WordPress I’ve learned so many cool attributes that come with it. This contribution is another way for me to explore and get to know all the ins and outs of WordPress. I hope you enjoy!

A picture of the beautiful sunset I took on the way to the gym!

  • Once I graduate in May, my plan is to immediately join the workforce and truly get hands on experience! I have a few jobs I’ve been eyeing and it’s super exciting anticipating the future in such a way. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point, it’s nice seeing all my hard work paying off!
